Winning Mind Institute focuses on a critical gap in high performance that is often overlooked—what happens when execution breaks down under pressure. Most performance challenges at elite levels are not due to lack of skill, preparation, or strategy. They are the result of subtle interference, often tied to specific high-stakes moments, that disrupt how individuals and teams perform when it matters most. The Institute’s work centers on identifying and resolving that interference. Through a structured, applied approach, Winning Mind Institute works with athletes, leadership teams, and organizations to restore execution, improve decision-making under pressure, and create consistency between preparation and performance. This is not motivational work. It is performance work—focused on restoring access to what is already there. Winning Mind Institute delivers keynote presentations, team intensives, and targeted performance engagements across sport and business, working with individuals and organizations operating in high-stakes environments.… more

  • Caretaker and AuthorNov 2016 – 2026 · 9 yrs 3 mosWhy would I include this into my “work experience” you may ask? Simple. If anyone had done caretaking for either elderly parents or a sick spouse they know that it is not only almost a full-time job, but a truly difficult one at that. As the Author of: How to Survive Life’s Perfect Storms: A Guide To Managing Personal, Career and Relationship Transitions (Winning Mind Press, 2018) I helped and continue to help readers, students and clients overcome various difficulties in life transitions including care taking. Some topics of where I could be of help are listed below.  The human element of 24/7 care taking  The role of communication in are taking  Essential steps in caring for the care-taker  The role of play in dementia care In 2016 I traveled to Europe to set up 24/7 care for my father for his last months as well as going through all the legal steps of first becoming his power of attorney and later the administrator of his estate. Not only did I learn an incredible amount of legal, personal and financial information, some of which I teach now to my students and clients, but I also wrote my first book mentioned above. What I didn’t know is that not long after my father’s passing, I would have to become a caretaker for my mother, and just months later, for my husband as both their respective and repeated strokes left them with significant memory limitations. I am incredibly passionate about sharing these experiences with my audiences in both my private speaking and the university platform. My study and teaching in regard to Conscious Communication proved to be an extremely important skill during these last three years in maintaining the harmony in my family’s life, not only to communicate with the declining loved ones, but also with significant others, children, grandchildren, authorities and all forms of bureaucracies. This is a skill which can and needs to be learned, therefore I teach them at every appropriate platform I am asked to speak.… more
